Water-Cooled Coaxial Annular Powder Feeding Nozzle for High-Power Laser Cladding

Presentation of the equipment's characteristics

The Water-Cooled Reinforced Coaxial Annular Powder-Feeding Laser Cladding Nozzle from Greenstone is engineered for high-precision, high-stability laser cladding (LMD/DED) on demanding components. Built for consistent coaxial powder delivery, it forms a controlled ring-shaped (annular) powder stream that converges at the deposition zone, helping maintain a stable melt pool and repeatable coating quality—especially on complex contours and tight-tolerance parts.

Manufactured with high thermal conductivity copper (purple copper), this nozzle provides excellent heat dissipation. In addition, the enhanced water-cooling design rapidly removes heat reflected from the melt pool, reducing thermal load at the nozzle tip and effectively preventing powder adhesion (powder sticking) at the outlet. This improves uptime, reduces maintenance interruptions, and supports stable long-duration production.

The nozzle’s optimized coaxial powder flow delivers fine, uniform powder distribution that is not affected by travel direction, enabling consistent cladding results on any required profile. By accurately controlling the powder focus and matching it with the laser spot, the design maximizes powder utilization while reducing common defects such as porosity, surface waviness, and direction-related inconsistencies. With power capability up to 6 kW, it is an ideal choice for wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant surface enhancement, part repair, and remanufacturing applications in industries such as energy, mining, aerospace, tooling, and advanced manufacturing.

  • Stable coaxial powder-feeding process: Helps reduce defects such as pores, waviness, and direction-related inconsistency.

  • Excellent powder stream focusing: Precisely matches the powder focus with the laser spot to maximize powder efficiency.

  • Adaptive deposition thickness control: Helps prevent uneven cladding thickness, improving repeatability and process stability.

  • Uniform powder distribution, direction-independent: Powder delivery remains consistent regardless of cladding direction, fitting any contour.

  • Reinforced water-cooling heat dissipation: Quickly removes high heat reflected from the melt pool, helping avoid powder sticking at the nozzle outlet.

  • Copper body (purple copper): Superior thermal conductivity for reliable high-power cladding performance.
