Presentation of the equipment's characteristics

The Greenstone Large-Format High-Duty Laser Metal Deposition (LMD/DED) System is designed for research institutes and advanced manufacturing sectors—especially aerospace and high-performance materials—where large build volume, long-duration stability, and repeatable quality are essential. With a maximum build size of 1500 × 1000 × 1000 mm, it supports the fabrication and repair of large, high-value components such as aerospace load-bearing structural parts, high-temperature alloy thermal-end components, integral blisks/disks, and other critical parts.

Engineered for industrial-grade reliability, this platform combines motion accuracy with a robust process package to balance deposition efficiency and forming precision. The system supports flexible deposition strategies through compatibility with annular and 4-point nozzles, offering stable powder focusing, reduced powder sticking risk, and consistent processing performance.

A major differentiator is its design for up to 240 hours of continuous operation. Through long-term optimization and validation, Greenstone addresses key challenges in extended DED processing—such as thermal protection, powder/dust protection, and wear resistance—to maintain stable output over long production cycles.

The integrated software architecture supports process data packages for common materials, one-click parameter calling, and intelligent functions such as data acquisition and fault diagnosis. The user-friendly control interface can be configured with optional modules including melt pool monitoring (CCD) and process simulation, helping users improve process traceability, stability, and production yield in both R&D and industrial deployment.

  • Large build volume (1500 × 1000 × 1000 mm): Enables large-part manufacturing, repair, and near-net-shape forming.

  • 240-hour continuous operation capability: Optimized for long-duration runs with improved thermal, powder/dust protection, and wear resistance.

  • Process data package for common materials: Supports titanium alloys, nickel-based alloys, steels, etc. with one-click parameter calling for faster commissioning.

  • Balances efficiency and precision: Stable powder focusing and consistent deposition quality for high-value parts.

  • Flexible powder feeding options: Supports 2 / 5 / 6 powder feeders, enabling part printing, precision repair, and high-deposition-rate process development.

  • Intelligent software system: Data acquisition + fault diagnostics; easy-to-learn integrated control interface.

  • Optional advanced monitoring & simulation: Configurable melt pool monitoring (CCD) and process simulation software to improve control and traceability.
