The Greenstone High-Efficiency Off-Axis Linear-Spot Laser Cladding Nozzle is a purpose-built solution for DED/LMD laser cladding using a rectangular/linear laser spot. Unlike coaxial designs, this nozzle adopts an off-axis (side) powder-feeding direction, delivering powder laterally into the process zone to support stable deposition with linear beam profiles—ideal for large-area cladding and high-throughput surface processing.

Developed by Greenstone for industrial reliability, the nozzle is designed to work with a gravity powder feeder, enabling carrier-gas-free powder feeding and reducing dependence on inert gas consumption for powder delivery. This makes it especially attractive for production environments looking to lower operating costs while maintaining consistent cladding performance.

With water cooling and a controlled powder stream geometry, the nozzle supports stable operation across demanding duty cycles. It is particularly suited for large cylindrical or large-surface workpieces, such as hydraulic cylinders and rolling mill rolls, where efficient coverage, repeatability, and process stability are essential for repair, remanufacturing, and surface strengthening.
