Presentation of the equipment's characteristics

The Greenstone Coaxial Linear Nozzle is a high-efficiency laser cladding (DED/LMD) solution engineered to deliver a stable strip-shaped (linear) powder stream for large-area and high-throughput surface processing. Designed to work with a laser cladding head equipped with a beam homogenizer/beam-shaping optics, it supports efficient deposition on large workpiece surfaces where productivity and track consistency are critical.

This nozzle uses coaxial powder feeding to form a controlled linear powder distribution that can be accurately aligned with the laser spot, helping stabilize the melt pool and improve track uniformity. By enabling precise control of the powder focus vs. laser spot matching, it increases powder utilization, reduces material waste, and improves coating quality.

For demanding industrial environments, the nozzle integrates water cooling to enhance thermal stability during continuous operation. It is also optimized for higher-power cladding requirements (≥ 4 kW) when used with a bar/linear laser spot, delivering reliable performance for applications such as wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant overlays, remanufacturing, and surface strengthening of large components.

processed samples
  • Stable coaxial powder feeding: Helps reduce typical defects such as porosity, surface waviness, and directional inconsistency.

  • Excellent powder stream focusing: Precisely controls powder focusing to match powder focal position to the laser spot, maximizing powder utilization.

  • Adaptive deposition thickness control: Helps prevent uneven cladding thickness, improving process repeatability and stability.

  • Linear nozzle for bar/strip laser spots: Designed to pair with linear/rectangular (strip) laser spots, enabling high-efficiency cladding on large surfaces.

  • High-power capable (≥ 4 kW): Supports stable, efficient cladding performance under higher power conditions.

  • Water-cooled thermal stability: Improves heat management for continuous production and consistent results.
