Presentation of the equipment's characteristics
The GST-CS800 Supersonic Cold Spray System represents the next generation of intelligent additive manufacturing and re-manufacturing equipment from the Greenstone-Tech. This advanced system integrates state-of-the-art gas dynamic heating technology, high-precision powder feeding, and an intelligent control system. It accelerates metal or composite powder particles to supersonic speeds without melting, depositing them onto a substrate to form dense, high-performance coatings or 3D structures.
The core system comprises three main modules: the Main Control Cabinet, Powder Feeder, and Spray Gun, all managed through an intuitive touch-screen HMI. Under full closed-loop PLC automation, it precisely regulates critical process parameters such as gas pressure, flow, temperature, and powder feed rate. This ensures exceptional process stability and repeatability, making it ideal for component repair, strengthening, and functional coating applications in industries like aerospace, energy, and transportation.
Efficient & Intelligent Control: Features fully automated operation via PLC and a 15-inch touch screen. The built-in process parameter database allows for one-click call-up and storage, enabling one-button start/stop operation. This reduces operational complexity and ensures superior process consistency.
Rapid High-Temperature Heating: Utilizes a low-voltage, high-current direct heating technology with a maximum output of 28 kW. It can heat the working gas to 800°C in under 2 minutes, offering high efficiency and significant savings in downtime and operating costs.
Precise Temperature Control: Employs a PLC-based PID control algorithm for gas heating, achieving a temperature accuracy of ±5°C. This guarantees stable thermal input for reliable, high-quality coatings.
Safety & Reliability: Designed with multiple safety interlock and self-protection systems (gas, water cooling, temperature, pressure). It includes automatic fault diagnosis, alarms, and emergency stop functions to ensure maximum safety for both equipment and operators.
Flexible Spray Modes: The spray gun is lightweight (≤5.5 kg) and supports both manual (handheld) and robotic integration for automated operation. This flexibility caters to diverse applications from R&D labs to industrial production floors.
Modular & Easy Maintenance: The powder feeder rotates 180° for easy cleaning and powder changeover. The gun features a quick-change, monolithic nozzle design with two material options (ceramic for wear resistance, polymer for anti-sticking) to suit different material systems.
