GREENSTONE Centrifugal Casting Alloy Powders are specialized metallurgical powders developed for the manufacture and surface reinforcement of engine cylinder liners, cylinder sleeves, bushings, bearing sleeves and other cylindrical components requiring high wear resistance and long service life.

The product portfolio includes iron-based (Fe-based), nickel-based (Ni-based), nickel-tungsten carbide (Ni-WC) and cobalt-based (Co-based) alloy systems, providing a broad range of hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, high-temperature stability and metallurgical performance.

During centrifugal casting, rotational force distributes the molten or semi-molten alloy material along the internal cylindrical surface, enabling the formation of a functional wear-resistant layer. Properly selected alloy powders can be used to improve the bore surface hardness, abrasion resistance, scuffing resistance and service durability of components operating under demanding friction and thermal conditions.

GREENSTONE centrifugal casting powders are suitable for applications in the automotive, diesel engine, marine engine, heavy machinery, agricultural machinery, mining, power generation, oil & gas and industrial remanufacturing industries.

Powder chemistry and particle-size distribution can be customized according to the base material, centrifugal casting process, required hardness, operating temperature and wear mechanism.

Fe-Based Centrifugal Casting Alloy Powder

Iron-based alloy powders provide a cost-effective solution for producing hard, wear-resistant internal surfaces on ferrous components.

The Fe-Cr-C-Ni-Si alloy systems shown in this product family cover approximately 58-62 HRC, depending on composition and processing conditions. Chromium and carbon contribute to hardness and carbide formation, while nickel can improve toughness and metallurgical performance.

Ni-Based Centrifugal Casting Alloy Powder

Nickel-based centrifugal casting powders provide a combination of wear resistance, corrosion resistance, metallurgical compatibility and elevated-temperature performance.

Depending on alloy composition, the available Ni-Cr-Si-B / Ni-Cr-Co-Mo-W systems cover approximately 45-63 HRC. These alloys can be selected where iron-based materials cannot provide sufficient corrosion, thermal or tribological performance.

Ni-WC Centrifugal Casting Composite Powder

Nickel-tungsten carbide composite systems are designed for particularly severe abrasive and erosive environments.

The nickel-based metallic matrix provides metallurgical bonding and toughness, while WC (tungsten carbide) provides extremely hard wear-resistant reinforcement. Different carbide contents can be selected to balance wear resistance, toughness and processability.
