On August 16th, at the Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park in the Yangquan High-tech Industrial Development Zone, Qineng Company\u2019s production line was running at full capacity. Through a series of processes\u2014including <strong>\u043b\u0430\u0437\u0435\u0440\u043d\u0430\u044f \u043d\u0430\u043f\u043b\u0430\u0432\u043a\u0430<\/strong>, drilling, welding, quenching, and cooling\u2014high-strength, spark-resistant mining pick cutters were produced using innovative new materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These mining picks are critical tools in coal mining and tunnel excavation. With the integration of <strong>\u0442\u0435\u0445\u043d\u043e\u043b\u043e\u0433\u0438\u044f \u043b\u0430\u0437\u0435\u0440\u043d\u043e\u0439 \u043d\u0430\u043f\u043b\u0430\u0432\u043a\u0438<\/strong>, their performance and service life have been significantly improved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Role of Mining Picks and Common Challenges<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>Mining picks are generally divided into two categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Shearer picks<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 mainly used for coal mining.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Roadheader picks<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 designed for tunnel excavation and requiring greater hardness and toughness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;As one of the most consumed components in mining machinery, the quality of picks directly impacts mining efficiency. With a hardness of up to 1962 HV20, it provides:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>3\u20135 times higher wear and impact resistance<\/strong>&nbsp;than traditional carbide heads<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>50% improvement in work efficiency<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>30% reduction in mining costs<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00b7&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>2\u20133 times longer service life<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This makes laser-clad carbide heads particularly suitable for high-hardness, rugged coal formations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Innovation and Industrial Impact<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/h5>\n\n\n\n<p>In June 2023, the preparation method for this <strong>laser cladding alloy coating<\/strong>&nbsp;was granted an invention patent.
