Ⅰ PREP atomization powder making process introduction:

PREP, i.e. plasma rotating electrode process, is an advanced atomization powder making method. It makes metal or alloy into consumable electrode, and melts the electrode end to form liquid film under the action of coaxial plasma arc heating source. Subsequently, the liquid film is thrown out at high speed to form droplets under the action of rotating centrifugal force. These molten droplets rub against the inert gas (such as argon or helium) in the atomization chamber and are further broken under the action of shear stress. Finally, the molten droplets are rapidly cooled and solidified into spherical powder under the action of surface tension.

During the entire preparation process, the powder making system realizes automatic control through automatic vacuum program block, automatic inert gas charging and discharging program block, electric spindle automatic rotation program block, melting current automatic calculation program block and automatic feeding program block, etc., to ensure the stability and efficiency of the preparation process.

1. High powder purity:
Due to the use of consumable electrode, the introduction of external impurities is avoided, so that the prepared powder has a high purity.
