T400 Cobalt-Based Alloy Powder for Laser Cladding, PTA & HVOF – Chemical, Oil & Gas, Marine and Industrial Wear Protection
Produkt oversigt
GREENSTONE T400 cobalt-based alloy powder is a high-performance Co-Cr-Mo-Si alloy powder engineered for severe corrosion, wear and elevated-temperature service conditions. Its high molybdenum content provides excellent resistance to reducing acids and aggressive chemical environments, while chromium contributes oxidation and corrosion protection and silicon supports alloy fluidity and surface stability during deposition.
T400 powder is suitable for laser cladding, Directed Energy Deposition (DED), Plasma Transferred Arc (PTA) hardfacing and HVOF thermal spraying, depending on the selected particle-size distribution and process requirements. It is particularly suitable for components used in chemical processing, oil and gas, offshore engineering, marine equipment, pumps, valves and heavy industrial machinery where conventional iron- or nickel-based coatings may not provide sufficient corrosion and wear resistance.
GREENSTONE can provide application-specific particle-size distributions for different coating and deposition processes, supporting industrial component protection, surface engineering and remanufacturing applications.
High-Molybdenum Cobalt Alloy System
T400 is characterized by a cobalt-based matrix with approximately 28.5% Mo and 8.5% Cr. The high molybdenum content contributes significantly to resistance against chemical attack and wear, particularly in reducing and chloride-containing environments.
Fremragende korrosionsbestandighed
T400 is designed for aggressive environments involving acids, chlorides, seawater, brine and chemical process media. The Co-Cr-Mo alloy system provides strong resistance to localized corrosion and surface degradation, making it suitable for chemical-processing and offshore components.
Combined Wear and Corrosion Protection
Unlike coating materials optimized exclusively for hardness, T400 provides a useful combination of wear resistance, corrosion resistance and toughness. This makes it particularly valuable where mechanical wear and chemical attack occur simultaneously.
Ydeevne ved forhøjede temperaturer
The cobalt-based matrix maintains useful mechanical and corrosion properties at elevated temperatures and provides better thermal stability than many conventional iron-based surface alloys. This supports applications involving thermal cycling and demanding process environments.
Strong Performance in Pump and Valve Components
T400 is suitable for protective surfaces on valve seats, valve components, pump components, sleeves, plungers, shafts and sealing surfaces, particularly where corrosive liquids and mechanical contact occur together.
Suitable for Oil, Gas and Offshore Applications
The combination of corrosion, erosion and wear resistance makes T400 suitable for oilfield equipment, offshore components, seawater-handling systems and industrial fluid-control components.
Kompatibilitet med flere processer
Different powder fractions can be supplied for laser cladding, DED/LMD, PTA and HVOF thermal spraying. Particle-size selection should be matched to the powder feeder, deposition head and target coating characteristics.
Application-Specific Powder Supply
GREENSTONE can provide different particle-size distributions according to the deposition technology and engineering requirements. Process parameters should be optimized according to substrate material, coating thickness, dilution requirements and operating environment.
