GREENSTONE Ni25, Ni50 and Ni55 NiCrBSi nickel-based alloy powders are self-fluxing metal powders developed for laser cladding, laser metal deposition, PTA, flame spraying, plasma spraying and industrial surface restoration. Based on a Ni-Cr-B-Si alloy system, these powders provide a practical combination of wear resistance, corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, metallurgical bonding capability and adjustable coating hardness.
The NiCrBSi powder series is particularly suitable for the repair and surface enhancement of molds, shafts, valves, rollers, gears, hydraulic components, industrial tooling, mining components and general machinery parts. Different hardness grades allow the coating properties to be matched to specific operating conditions, from relatively tough and machinable repair layers to harder wear-resistant surfaces.

NiCrBSi Self-Fluxing Nickel Alloy System
Ni25, Ni50 and Ni55 belong to the widely used NiCrBSi nickel-based self-fluxing alloy powder family. Chromium contributes to wear, corrosion and oxidation resistance, while boron and silicon help lower the alloy melting range and improve wetting and self-fluxing characteristics during deposition.
This composition makes NiCrBSi powders particularly suitable for producing dense protective layers on iron- and nickel-based substrates.
Multiple Hardness Grades
The series provides different hardness levels for different engineering requirements:
- Ni25 – lower hardness with better toughness and machinability, suitable for repair, dimensional restoration and applications where excessive coating brittleness is undesirable.
- Ni50 – balanced hardness, wear resistance and toughness for general industrial surface engineering.
- Ni55 – higher hardness for components exposed to more severe abrasive and sliding wear.
Actual hardness depends on powder composition, dilution, deposition parameters, substrate material and post-processing conditions.
Excellent Wear and Surface Protection
NiCrBSi coatings provide good resistance to sliding wear, adhesive wear, moderate abrasive wear and surface degradation, making them suitable for shafts, rollers, valve components, molds, dies, plungers and other repeatedly loaded industrial parts.
God korrosions- og oxidationsbestandighed
The nickel-rich matrix combined with chromium provides useful resistance to oxidation and many industrial corrosive environments. This makes the material suitable for components requiring both wear protection and environmental resistance.
Strong Metallurgical Bonding for Laser Cladding
When processed by laser cladding, NiCrBSi powder can form a dense metallurgically bonded coating with the substrate. Proper process control helps achieve low porosity, limited dilution and good coating integrity, making the material suitable for both component remanufacturing and new-part surface enhancement.
Good Powder Feeding and Process Flexibility
Controlled powder morphology and particle-size distribution provide consistent flow through industrial powder feeders. Different particle-size ranges can be supplied for laser cladding, DED/LMD, PTA and thermal spray processes.
